Like other documentaries in Vietnam, the main character in Dancing in the park is not a particular person or individual, but an issue that needs to be mentioned. Here the story about a “modern dance floor” reveals to the audience about a different Hanoi, which is very youthful, lively with old ladies and gentlemen and young people as well. They go to park to “move along with music” healthily until their playing field is at risk of being taken away. It’s the familiar motif of Holywood street-dancing films that dance-loving young people face the risk of losing their practice place because of the attack from capital corporations. And now it takes place in Hanoi, the capital of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, where the dancers are mostly old people.

Phim có cách dựng rất trẻ trung so với tổng thể phim tài liệu Việt hiện nay. Xem không thấy chán :) và tất nhiên là hiểu và cảm được vấn đề mà Dancing in the Park muốn nói đến.
Nhìn thành phần đoàn làm phim đã cho thấy sự ” ngoại hóa phim tài liệu” một thể loại phim mà ở Việt Nam chúng ta hiện nay vẫn làm theo kiểu truyền thống.

Kết cấu phim có vẻ lỏng lẻo và không lôi cuốn, tôi thấy khó nắm bắt trình tự chi tiết mà tác giả đưa ra, không biết mình đang chờ đợi điều gì và phim sẽ dẫn dắt mình đi đâu.
The whole story s just delightful. Love how the approaching angles re simply put & down to earth. The cinematography s really inspiring. Hands down best documentary film on the subject i got to see so far guys.
Xem phim thấy bất ngờ vì dẫn dắt tự nhiên, không dùng lời bình để gò ép suy nghĩ của khán giả như phim tài liệu Việt Nam thông thường. Đến lúc chạy credit thì hóa ra toàn người nước ngoài :))
