Yxineff 2011

The Youth Pledge was a declaration made on 28 October 1928 by young Indonesian nationalists at a conference in the then-Dutch colonized Indonesia. They proclaimed three ideals, one motherland, one nation and one language: Indonesia. In 2009, the band ‘Armada Racun’ dubbed the pledge and proclaimed three ideals, one motherland, one nation and one language: the United States (“Amerika”).
